About Jeremy Warner

Jeremy Warner
Jeremy Warner began his career in journalism as a reported for the Scotsman in 1978. Currently the Assistant Editor of the Daily Telegraph since 2009, he has also been the business correspondant for both the Times and the Independent, where he became the Business and City Editor before his move to the Telegraph. A serial winner of awards, he has also been honoured for an "outstanding contribution in defence of freedom of the media" by the Society of Editors for his refusal to reveal sources to Government inspectors.

About John Peet

John Peet
John Peet, Europe Editor of the Economist since 2003, was previously Business Affairs Editor (from 1998), responsible for the business, finance and economics and science & technology coverage of the paper. Prior to this he had been Brussels Correspondent, Executive Editor, Surveys Editor, Finance Correspondent, Washington DC Correspondent and Britain Correspondent. Before joining The Economist he was a civil servant, working for the Treasury and the Foreign Office from 1976 to 1986.

About John Stevens

John Stevens
In 1989 John Stevens was elected Conservate MEP for the Thames Valley and became Vice Chairman of the European Parliament’s Economic & Monetary Affairs Committee. He conducted all the legislation for the creation of the Euro through the European Parliament from 1989 to 1999. He was the European Parliament’s representative on the EBRD and on the European Monetary Institute which became the European Central Bank. In 1999, with a number of others, he set up the Pro Euro Conservative Party, with the intention of encouraging Ken Clarke and Michael Heseltine to reform the Conservative Party under their leadership and restore it to its pro European traditions.
